I only remember one part of my Avatar name

Hi there,

I've been searching for hours to find a way to login to my alt avatar. I created her around the beginning of this year/end of last year, and since then I have switched from the normal SL viewer to Firestorm and have not used her much at all. I am now finding that the only thing I remember about the avatar is part of the name, "Elizabeth." I'm not even sure this is part of the username, and most likely isn't. I've searched through all my emails looking for "Elizabeth" and "Second Life," all 8 emails!!...but to no avail. I'm so confused as to what happened. I even tried searching through all the Names with Elizabeth on the Firestorm viewer, but I can tell they are only usernames...Lastly, my web browser history is gone after having to wipe my computer and forgetting Mozilla login info...ugh.

Is there any other way I can find this avatar? I've really been trying for a long time here and I'm willing to search through every case of "Elizabeth" popping up on SL if there was a way. I even used my main avatar and tried to search L$ transaction history because I believe I gifted between the two avatars at one point....but it is only stored 30some days! :((

The only thing I have left is a picture of what she looks like I snapped from my phone. Jan. 4 2017. Taken by SL photo first.. Could that help at all?

Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

If you did not uninstall the SL viewer and clean up the folders, you can find the name in the following location -- a folder exists for every account you have logged on or tried to log on:

This is for Windows 7 - if you have Windows 10, you'll need to find the applicable location:  C:\Users\<computer-username>\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife

I just saw the line about you 'wiping your computer' - if you wiped the entire computer, then my suggestion won't help because those folders won't be there anymore.

   The only thing I can add to the excellent advice of @LittleMe Jewell is, if there is any chance that you might remember any of the groups this alt belonged to, you could try searching through their membership rosters for a familiar name.

   Bear in mind that even if you do successfully obtain the user name, that's only a part of the credentials hurdle you will face.

   I think I'd be asking myself: how important is this account to me?

Did your main avatar ever by the alt a gift thru the Marketplace?  If so, you might be able to find the name in the marketplace order history.  The marketplace history sticks around much longer than the L$ transaction history.

Maybe look for people you have friended with the alt.They should have something in their friends list. If you ever transferred an object, notecard, pic frim your alt to yourself you can look at its properties for owner.

moirakathleen I am not sure what you mean. My main avatar has sent funds to the alt, and sent a gift now and then...but I still have to be logged into my main avatar to see those things I am not able to log in...I am so frustrated. and btw...the only people who can all Linden Labs for a problem and get a person are those with premium accounts...otherwise you are just shuffled back to the support page that keeps you in the little cycle of sending another case/ticket

If you sent money to your alt, then the alt can log on to secondlife.com and see the transaction in the account history and it would tell the alt who the money came from, i.e. from you.

Also, if you gift an item to your alt from the MP, the alt will get an email telling them about the gift and who sent it.  I'm not sure what sort of notificatoin might be sent with a gift via a store vendor.

I know who the funds came from...they came from my main avatar...and I have not lost her name...only the dang password

The problem is not with the name of my avatar...it is with the lost password and trying to get a response from Linden Lab. The system automatically sends a case/ticket number, but so far, that is the last I have heard from them...last night. Just wanted to know if I will get more than that from them...will they actually contact me to help me with this?

Yes, but the Original Poster of THIS thread was asking how to find out the name of their alt account.  Your lost password issue is being discussed in your thread about that.

I was simply responding to the statement you made "My main avatar has sent funds to the alt, and sent a gift now and then...but I still have to be logged into my main avatar to see those things"  You do not necessarily have to log the alt in to see what the main gave them or to see the funds the main gave them.

However, THIS thread IS about the name of an avatar.

Many of us have told you multiple times (in your thread about your password) that LL WILL definitely contact you, though not as quickly as you wish.
