Well according to some media, it's very connected to identity, so...

You might want to provide a bit of context as I'm not sure everyone knows about the JCrew ad. :) But, yes, it would be an interesting topic to discuss.

Considering my avi is usually a horse.. no nail polish :)

RL - who cares? I know men who get manicures and pedicures as well as the occasional nail polish and/or makeup. I fail to see what the fuss is about. To me, it sounds like a lot of fuss about nothing at all.

Agreed!! Those people that started a fuss over a mother and preschool son sharing some bonding time .. and toenail polish .. need to get SL accounts and get involved in some REAL issues, like the high cost of Land Tier and why SL Partnerships fall apart faster than a roll of toilet paper in a rainstorm.

*blink blink* Did I just say that outloud?? *facepalm*

~chuckle~ what's real about a child having fun with toenail polish? I'm guessing for the united puritans of america it's earth-shattering and totally worth the death penalty, or preferably guantanamo for the mother and mandatory bible school for the kid.

Maybe I should start a separate thread for this question, but what would you think about a man who painted his toe nails?  Men, would you allow your partner to paint yours?

Well obviously taking care of one's nails is always better than neglect and a man with a buffed, trimmed and clear polished nails can be dapper even for the mucho mas macho meanly men.  And as far as brightly colored nails with decals and stenches like you would expect to see on a young woman, I don't see it being too big a deal for a man either.  But do have a bit of fashion sense when you do paint your nails.  Dark bronze painted nails may look good with you Doc Martin's and linen pants, but if you want to go thugging in beatup jeans and purple butterflies on your toes ... it just looks silly.
