is there a way to get back all the info you type during a session on a notecard that I can't find now ... how strange I saved it but gone now

Not unless you saved the notecard.  What you've done is like typing something in your word processor and then shutting it down without saving the file.  If you saved it, of course, it's somewhere in your inventory.  Open its Recent tab and scroll back a few days, looking at everything you have added.

And sometimes things that you save are GONE. I had that happen just recently too. If it is important I suggest putting the info on in a note on your computer and not in the database :D. Always a good plan.

Anytime I'm typing something semi-lengthy into an SL notecard or various forums or social sites, I will often type it first into a separate document, preferably something with an auto-save function.  After I've got it worded and formatted the way I want, moving sentences and paragraphs around, etc..., I'll then copy/paste into wherever I originally wanted it.  Viewers and websites crash sometimes, whereas my computer almost never crashes.

After 10 years i know how inventory just disappears , just never notecard lol .

Inventory loss is rare these days. Recently there seems to have been an outbreak of inventory losses. Still, it is far more likely the note card is just lost in inventory.

If you forgot to rename the note, it will have the name "New Note" and you can search for that using the inventory search box.  Don't be surprised if you find a number of them!
