Should nudity, sex and adult sims only be for premium members?

I'm responding to the bold text.. So, you want LL to police the sims so that RL children who are breaking the rules are safe? Seriously? Thats like wanting RL police to arrest XXX theater owners if some teens break in at night and watch porn movies...

The OP wants nudity, sex and adult sims to only be for premium members. This is elitist thinking! It does not belong in the land of the free! Everyone should be able to do those things, whether they can afford a premium member or a cheap one or must make do with a free one! The price of a man's member should not restrict him from seeking happiness by being nude, having sex, or visiting adult sims! Why should rich people be able to keep everyone else from these things just because they can afford a premium member! It's classism! It's ... What?

Ummm... you don't happen to know where that land of the free is btw? I've already checked this galaxy and Andromeda but there are so many other places.

Edit: On second thought, if somebody is going to flaunt their member in public it really ought to be a premium one so maybe that land of the free isn't such a great place after all.

WOW!!!   Can't even believe I'm reading this.  The only benefit I've seen since signing up for premium is a tiny house with absolute minimum LI; not panning to renew.  does that make me a backslider and no longer allowed on Adult sims?  Does not being a premium member turn me from person to ogre?  smh

Who is next on your list of exclusions???

The "true" main advantages to be premium are the right to get land directly from Linden Lab, which means you are no longer at the mercy of a resident middleman, and the increased support option of having acess to live chat.

The Linden Home is really just an "entrance drug" for newbies to get them hungry for owning (more) property. Most people I know didn't take the home and instead use the free 512m allowence instead to get a bigger mainland parcel for less.

I agree, though I've not been informed about the 512 m allowance.  My intent is to eventually have my own land, but never knew it could be achieved in this manner.  I still enjoy my place at Bella and the Linden house sits vacant.  Looking, yes, not in any rush.

you get 300 lindens in stripen ever week and after 45 days after you sign up your first time as premium,they will give you a one time 1,000 lindens..

so every month you get 1200 lindens which is around 4.80 usd or so,depending on what lindens are at at the time.. I'm just guestimating at 4.80.

A premium membership if you paid it monthly is 9.95..Now subtract the 4.80 or so that they give you back each month and you end up at around $5.15 a month for premium membership.

If you paid quarterly ,which is 22.50 a quarter..it ends up being 7.50 a month for premium, subtracting the 4.80 or so ,you would be at around 2.70 per month for premium membership..

Now if you paid annually,which is 72.00 a year,it ends up being 6.00 a month for premium membership,subtract the 4.80 or so ,you would be at  around 1.20 or so a month for premium membership..

 

Myself I get 400 a week since I joined back in 2006,where if I would have joined sooner in that year,I would have gotten 500 a week.

I think I missed it only by a couple of months getting 500 a week...hehehehe

I remember figuring this up a few years back when lindens were lower..I was under a dollar a month paying annually for premium after figuring in my weekly stripen..

I felt pretty darn good after that  hehehehe

If you can catch one of the half off membership sales you actually make money for that first quarter being premium.

I remember being all proud of myself after figuring up my annual membership.. I made the mistake of making it a selling point to my husband when I was trying to talk him into making his account..

I was like,So see,It only ends up costing us this much a month..So it's like hardly paying anything at all when it comes right down to it.

He say's to me ,ok but what's all those 80.00's and 100.00's and other costs I see with second life?

I said ,those are different,you won't be getting into those..

One of the premium benefits that many people overlook is the ability to join 60 groups instead of the non-premium 42. When you're an avid shopper like me, you appreciate those extra group slots

plus those sandboxes are nice when you are in between places or need a place to rez something that you have no idea what it is and how big it's gonna be..

I had something so big that even the premium sandboxes wouldn't let me rez it..

I'm thinking it was a scene that changed the sky for more than one sim..something like that.. it's like old old mega prims or something..

They shut me down every time,so i tossed it..hehehe

My logic was,while my butt is in this chair spending 80's and 100's,it's not out there spending thousands..

If you have a Linden home, then that is using the 512 sqm tier that you get with your membership.  If you give up the house, then you can apply the 512 sqm tier towards any mainland plot that you own or donate it to a group (a land group for your land or any other group you belong to).

I signed up in November 2016.  I never heard about signing up for the 1,000 L though.  How does a person sign up for that?  

When I first started in SL, I noticed that there were a few places I was not allowed to go.  Think it had something to do with surfing.  I was told I needed a premium membership to gain entry.   Hmmm,, better check that out again before my membership lapses.  LOL
