That too definitely.

I'm not sure why you think they had a lot of free time.  Responding to griefing calls would have been a part of the job for some, and not infrequently attended by more than one of them.  With Live Help open and monitored by Lindens and Mentors, calls for help with griefing could be answered quickly, even without system warnings.  I can't imagine a situation where Pothead Linden was sitting watching the clouds when the call came. :)

I was referring to them just having the time to physically come in and take care of things. I mean, I don't think you can really call in a linden now just to ban someone. Normally people would now just mute/block or kick them from the area.

He's still around. He just fixed a problem I reported on the beta grid; the mesh sandbox needed cleanup after someone tried terraforming.

Then I got an email from Stella Connect, a customer service rating site LL is using. "You recently worked with: Guy. USA. Land Product Specialist. Overall, how would you rate the interaction?"

I'm fine with Guy Linden. Stella Connect, not so much. Don't like my email being given to an outside party. Especially one that tries to get you to click through to their web site, with a privacy policy that reads:

"We may target ads to you when you are on other websites and apps. We do this using a variety of digital marketing networks and ad exchanges, and we use a range of advertising technologies like web beacons, pixels, ad tags, cookies, and mobile identifiers, as well as specific services offered by some sites and social networks, such as Facebook’s Custom Audience service".

If you get one of those emails, do not click on any links in it.

Well, as much as I'd love to give proper accolades where due, given what animats has posted, I think I'll skip doing any surveys on support tickets in the future.

Well with GDPR around that behaviour might cost the Lab more than they save...

Yes, LL signed up with Stella Connect. And, from their privacy policy, they're out to spam and track users every way they can. Bad choice, LL.

It does seem that whether we know it or not LL can give out our personal information to any body they choose in circumstances covered by their Privacy Policy.  This part seems relevant here in Section 3 -

Except under certain limited circumstances as set forth here and in our Terms of Service, Linden Lab Controller does not disclose to third parties the Personal Information or other account-related information that you provide to us without your permission. You understand, however, that Linden Lab Controller may disclose your Personal Information or other account-related information under the following circumstances: [...] To service providers with whom we have contracted to assist us with the features or operations (such as anti-fraud functions, billing, collections, registration, customer support, e-mail delivery, age verification, or Sansar’s SandeX, Second Life’s LindeX or Tilia operations), to fulfill your service requests, offer new content or help us improve our products and/or services. Our contracts with these third parties prohibit them from using any of your Personal Information for purposes unrelated to the product or services they are providing;

It does not sit well with me, though. We and LL are trusting Stella Connect to behave.

I know it has been a while but thanks to you all I have been able to setup shrines for Guy Linden with higher resolution

It allows you to worship Guy Linden free of charge, setting up a few around town.

That's lovely! I had a fantastic experience with Guy Linden a couple of weeks ago, after a land purchase went south. The sim state didn't save before the region rolled, thus wiping out my purchase. Guy showed up within minutes and helped to get it sorted out, and gave me some excellent advice. He was trying to look like Santa Claus. Flying, but without the aid of a sleigh and reindeer, so I wasn't completely fooled. Boy, was the land vendor impressed though. For a few minutes I felt like part of the FIC, then I woke up and remembered it's SL Support!

I don't know if Guy Linden goes here, but every now and then some of the staff will pop up at social island and a few other safe hubsfor a brief moment. I've seen Governance 18 and a few others a couple of times. One time one of them came and it was terrifying and hilarious. People were piling on clothes, turning off dancers, deactivating gestures. Some folks left and the ones that were there were either dead silent or started screaming that they were going to get banned. A few of my friends stepped up and started a conversation and it ended up not being so bad.

hmm a guy linden alter would look good at my place in the Plusia sim along the LRT section of the SLRR.
Thinking of joining both religions, Church of Guy Linden and Church of Rosedale since Philip is like a Role.Model(); to me in the programming community.

one does not look for Guy Linden as he is everywhere and he is nowhere on the grid. Only Guy Linden only seeks those worthy of his attention.

in other words. he is always busy helping with mainland and other in world related tickets.

I miss seeing Linden's on the grid.    Sighs....

Hang out in Bellisseria and attend some of the events there.  The is usually a Linden or two around when they are getting ready to release a new region and a few of the Lindens will sometimes show up to the events held there.

Wow. My friend brushed shoulders with a real Linden who came to tweak the lil bit of mainland for them via a support ticket.  Moles are interesting too. So ...

1 - How many Lindens visit inworld ?

2 - How many Moles are there ?

3 - Got any interesting anecdotes about them ?
