[Ave Dementia obscurare tus utum et veritas ut ceceus]
 Ave Dementia, Ave Dementia
 Hail! Hail! Hail! Hail! etc.

The toys in the attic come up to play
they hate it when you lock them away
they scream and shout and run and jump
scared at night when things go wrong
 it's

 Ave Dementia, Ave Dementia
 Hail! Hail!

The toys in the attic come up to play
they hate it when you lock them away
your nightmare ride is such a trip
 it's methadone without a script
 it's

 Ave Dementia, Ave Dementia
 Hail! Hail! Hail! Hail!

[Ave Dementia obscurare tus utum et veritas ut ceceus]

 Hail! Hail! Hail! Hail!
 Ave Dementia, Ave Dementia

The toys in the attic come up to play
they hate it when you lock them away
your white noise games we hear a scream
you try to wake up but it's not a dream
 it's

 Ave Dementia, Ave Dementia
 Ave Dementia, Ave Dementia
Ave Dementia, Ave Dementia (Hail! Hail!) .

 Ave Dementia, Ave Dementia

1 hour ago, Dresden Ceriano said:

I think you're effed up and I like you a lot.

...Dres

You dare tell Mikka she's effed up? Pretty rich, coming from one of the oddest balls ever rolled down the chute! Good thing you're a total sweetheart. :-)

Any of Lil's for me, but I dug elsewhere because SL/Music are inseparably linked for me. This was at one of (DJ) Naz's gigs. She plays a lot of rock, and she favors good guitar work. Plays herself, wailing away in her basement. Had a band but they didn't catch on. Anyway. She played this at a gig where she was covering a particular style or era as she usually does. I'd heard it many times on the unusually independent local radio station I listen to all the time. I said, "I love this song!". She asked, "You like Dave Edmunds covers?". I of course did not even know who Dave Edmunds was (do now, ty). I said I just really liked the song. Cool thing is, it was probably Saturday night, because Naz almost always has had a gig that night and I almost always was there; it was like appointment Second Life for me. I would just fall into Saturday night, digging the music through my headphones and shaking my hips on the dance floor.

Won't provide a link because - lyrics - but one that always reminds me of my poledancing days would be by Buckcherry off '15' (track 7 I think thank you wikipedia). Must have heard it 3 times a day,,,

Oh, and bilingual of course. Well, really.

For me, it's this one. (Long intro, btw.)

In the night time
When the world is at its rest
You will find me
In the place I know the best
Dancin', shoutin'
Flyin' to the moon
Don't have to worry
'cause I'll be come back soon

And we build up castles
In the sky and in the sand
Design our own world
Ain't nobody understand
I found myself alive
In the palm of your hand
As long as we are flyin'
All this world ain't got no end

I have to say, this one,but the long version, pretty much sums a lot of it up over time..I had it playing about ever 6 tracks on my stream when I had my sim..

I had a race track made on my sim  at one point and I loved riding my bike on there  and would just loop it when I did..Too many rules at other tracks for me..hehehehe

Here is a pic of my favorite bike and the huds for it ..It was so fast..

  • 2 weeks later...

Barbie Girl by Aqua always take me back, mainly because my first SL job was working at the Notorious Barbie Club in Refugio (now long gone)

But the song that really evokes Second Life for me is "Forever Young" by Alphaville. In RL I have reached that place where I know my grandfather was right about "getting older being a character-test" ; you learn to deal with being less-capable than you were at 22. Also, skincare is rather a pain....

But in SL, we're forever 22 as long as we feel that way :-)
