Nimmlers Posted June 7, 2017 Share Posted June 7, 2017 (edited) Specifically I was looking for the best bits and pieces to get for the creation of a female German Shepard or Doberman style avatar (mostly regarding the actual body, although clothing suggestions would be good as well). I'm only returning to SL after a very long period of absence - there are terms I'm not entirely familiar with, and I'm very unfamiliar with the vast, vast majority of vendors and etc. There is no firm budget, but up to 10k linden would be how much I'd be able to spend in one chunk at any given time (though the lower the price, the better). Also as a matter of curiosity, if anyone is aware of just how much it would cost to have a completely custom avatar made from scratch (a rough price estimate), that'd be lovely. Start with the basics and gradually make changes and improvements as you do your thing in SL. Ultimately only you will know what the best items for your needs are, so find some sort of avatar you can use and get out do your thing, and gradually make improvements till you get it perfect. HarrisonMcKenzie Posted June 11, 2017 Share Posted June 11, 2017 If you're looking for a realistic dog avatar, you should have a look at TWI (I think it's Timper Wolf Industries or something like that). It's 3 or 5000 linden and it's a full dog and wolf avatar. It seems to be a good go-to for animal peeps. If you're trying to make an anthropomorphizes dog avatar, I'm not too sure. Kemono might be a place to start. It's a cutesy anime furry avatar with a decent amount of support. That might he a good starting point, even if you decide not to go with it.
