Today's rolling restart on the main Second Life Server channel in region Undulosa has screwed up!

When I attempt to save a script, I get this compile error: "Sim lacking UpdateScriptTask capabilities. Unable to request recompile".

Where can I report this other than here or submitting a ticket (which would take days as usual)

Reporting it here will have no effect, since we are all SL residents like you.  Submit a support case.  Cases regarding region performance typically get attention within an hour, in my experience.

Support case submitted:

Today's rolling restart on the main Second Life Server channel in region Undulosa broke it!
When I log in there I get this message: "There was a problem saving the default permissions due to the following reason. Couldn't resolve host name. Please try sending the default permissions later."
When trying to save a script, I get the following compile error: "Sim lacking UpdateScriptTask capabilities. Unable to request recompile"

Is anyone else on the main channel having the same problem?

Sounds like the region came back online with caps failure.
A region restart will fix it.

I just checked that region & it definitely has caps problems.
Unable to login there directly because the viewer cannot get the seed cap.
You can TP into that region but all caps are dead.

The fastest way to get a mainland region restarted is to file a support ticket at https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ and choose "Land & Region" then "Report an offline region",
even if the region isn't technically offline.
But you must make it clear in the ticket why the region needs to be restarted.

Also to note, the quickest way to see if a region has caps failure is:
Enable the Develop menu in the top menu bar of the viewer with CTRL+ALT+Q.
Develop -> Consoles -> Debug console.
Develop -> Consoles -> Capabilities info to debug console.
This will dump all the caps into the console/log & on a region with broken caps, you'll see only 1 cap (seed cap) is dumped.
On a region with working caps, over 80 caps should be dumped.

@Whirly Fizzle  Forgive my ignorance, but what are caps and seed caps in this context?

These pages are a bit outdated but they explain caps better then I could  :)
