Hat does not move with head movements

Why does my hat not move with my head movements? I have two versions of the same had, in rigged and un rigged.. the one unrigged hat does fine, the other style does not.

My guess is that it is not actually attaching to your head and it moves with whatever part it is attached to, but I am not sure what you can do about that. If it is rigged you won't be able to adjust the position, so even if you got it attached to your head it might not be in the right place and you would not be able to adjust it. I would just stick with the unrigged version, that is better for a hat anyway.

Its the unrigged that is causing problems. hmmm i will play with it some more

If it is the unrigged one that has the issue, then check to see what it is actually attached to, if not to your head, then you can manually attach it there. it might not be in the right place but you can right click on it and hit edit and move it or rotate it to get it in the right spot. I typically do this with all my hats to get them so my hair isn't popping out in odd places.
