Can't teleport above 983 feet

So a friend of mine has a skybox at 3000feet. The actual TP invite from him is 3001 feet. I can get there if i accept his TP. If i try to teleport from my favorites or my history, it goes to the exact coordinate but only to 983 feet. I am floating in the air. I can fly up to the skybox but i can't TP in. every time it bumps me down to 983 feet. Help.

It is possible that they have a set landing point mandatory on the land. You can see that in the land info tab. They may not have " teleport anywhere" set.  That would be the most likely cause. That may have been their OLD home or whatever. They can change that if they want to.

OR they may prefer not to have visitors that they didn't specifically invite.
