How to I add pic as my avatar on this forum?

It's all done in the My Setting pages, accessible from the link just to the right of your name, at the top of this page.  See HERE for details.

At top of page, click My Settings, then...

... Avatars / From Uploaded Images for a smaller avatar, or...

... Social Connect to choose a "badge"-sized one.

The former requires you to upload an image first, the latter allows you to upload from that page.
