Wow. People have a lot of sex on Flickr.

Or a lot of people have sex there.

Or maybe it's a lot of people have a lot of sex?

Well... on Flickr they are showing the sex they had in SL... or someplace... I am assuming you are looking at the SL pictures. And yes.

Some people ONLY post hookup shots and other XXX. Unfortunately, the quality of the majority of it is pretty poor. However, there are some that do awesome images. Example (NSFW) Collection (NSFW) Amazing - mostly heavy Photoshop (mix NSFW)

And I pick: a lot of people have a lot of sex... After all, sex is almost as good as chocolate... which leaves one wonder why there are aren't as many pictures of chocolate eating?

Well, yes!

What will happen is that, once every couple of days or so, I'll get a notification that someone new is following me. And sometimes they'll also fave a few of my pics. And I'll think, "Oh, that's nice! I wonder why they liked those pics? Maybe they takes pics that are a little like those!" And so, of course, I'll check out their feed.

And maybe half the time I'll look, and I'll be like "Oh my . . ." or "Wow" or "Wait, is that even physically possible?" Staring wide eyed and open mouthed at my laptop screen, which is probably not my most attractive look.

And you're right, most of them aren't very good at all. There are a few that are interesting. I have one French woman who follows me, and occasionally faves my pics, and her sex pics are sometimes interesting. Besides, she usually wears one of my favourite hair styles from tram, in the same colours I do, so I like her for that too. In fact, I sometimes think "That's maybe a little like what I'd look like if I were doing  . . . what is she doing, anyway?" One difference though is that she wears glasses, even while having sex. Do people wear glasses while having sex? Don't they get bumped off, or fogged up, or something? I know for a fact that they'll fall off if you're upside down. (I know this from experience. Don't ask.)

But yes, most aren't very good pics. Although they do feature interesting camera angles sometimes.

I think you're right about your choice of description. Personally, though, I'm going to substitute "cheesecake" for chocolate, which I like better. Although chocolate cheesecake is . . . well, definitely better than sex. Even on Flickr.

I love setting up erotic scenes/stories and making (hopefully) nice pictures of those scenes. I do put them on a separate Flickr account though as I don't want to force all that NSFW stuffs on my regular followers. Keeping my own Flickr mostly PGish..  (some exceptions here and there).

Havent done chocolate eating pics yet though I think... that needs to change! :)

I've seen master level work posted on Flickr. I personally don't go for the sex for sex sake... for me the photos if they do go that direction, has to have real emotion or be very artistic in nature. I personally keep trying to find new ways to shoot something or new ideas in location, wardrobe, setting etc.... I get bored with myself shooting the same poses in the same setting with just a change of clothes. So, yea... today I'm hanging from the ceiling from a chandelier, I was jumping out of planes, floating in space, did the Bunny & red dress posters, got stoned out of my brain with Taya and it all keeps me engaged and wanting to stay pushing boundaries. ❤️ you all for being such a great support group and an inspiration to me to keep getting better!

It feels as if a lot of people overestimate 'sex sells' - it's almost a bit like a stereotype on Flickr; people who post low quality photos of weird sex positions and having overly accentuated curves that make them look like Teletubbies. Same people often have 1-2k followers, as they've gone around following 6-10k other people for attention.

I too check out the stream of anyone who follows me, and if I find their work pretty or inspirational I'm likely to follow them in turn - but I don't want my Flickr feed filled with low quality pornography.

Well, as I recall, one of the nicest NSFW pics that's crossed my feed is one of yours, featuring as guest star a battery-operated device. (Does that count as "sex"? Sure!)

So, yes, your pics are definitely among the exceptions.

(Now, of course, I have to try to find your NSFW Flickr feed.)

Well, this is a sort of perennial problem with SL, isn't it? Those who are here primarily for the sex tend to overestimate its importance and prevalence (how many "Adult" sims are there? It's well under 20%, as I recall), while those who, like me (being a Vestal Virgin and all), are not probably underestimate it.

I will say that, were your impression based only on the admittedly small sample of people I follow on Flickr (106 at the mo), you might well be led to think that the platform was mostly for sex, or wandering around in extremely skimpy clothing.

weird sex positions

There is no such thing as a "weird sex position." There are only "OMG-I'd-Break-Something-Or-Fall-Over-If-I-Tried-That" sex positions.

My Flickr feed probably breaks down into four basic categories. 1) people whose pics are really good, and inspirational, 2) people who are friends (and this somewhat overlaps with the first category), 3) people who seem really nice, mostly because they fave my pics or leave sweet compliments, and 4) people I haven't got around to unfollowing yet.

There is absolutely no nudity or sex on my feed, and only a few shots that feature lingerie, so I'm not sure why I get such a high prevalence of followers who simply post sex and nudity. Maybe it is, as you say, that they just sort of randomly follow anyone (although, as I've said, there are few in this category who do seem to take the time to look at my pics). And I'm continually bewildered by some of the pics that get, like, 160 faves.

Flickr is weird. (But, again, sex positions are not.)

I too have had the head scratcher moments when seeing poorly shot, random Flickr pics getting hundreds of likes. I chalk it up to thousands of followers and posting to literally hundreds of groups. It annoys me when people post to groups that have nothing to do with the photo. For example posting a naked photo to a clothing creator’s group. Come on now!

Oh I agree with all of this so I won't go through it again....   9_9

I don't see the point of naked SL images, just because the bodies are generic, so when you've seen one...…………..and "having sex photos" ……..well that's not for me either.

I don't mind doing Lingerie images, but in truth I'm drawn more towards fantasy. Obviously my favourite images are group shots when we meet up in our usual ad hoc fashion...…..that's the most fun by far. I love doing sister shots, but it can be quite a lonely session because they don't chat much. Haha.
