Maybe a good idea if you create a separate topic for it, to not pollute the "How you look today" to much after seeing how fast the bunnies breed! :)

Probably. Also, we'd probably have to figure out a good way to do a poll for what the theme should be, and figure out what domain to host the magazine on if we want it in-browser. I've glanced over how to make those things (I had some sort of idea that it would be good practice for doing book layout as I have devious plans to format and print myself a few books I want from the Gutenberg project so that I can do my own fancy bindings for them - but the moment people started talking about Adobe kits I sort of phased out) - I'd be up for giving it another go though.

I'm thinking a nice standard format would be good, too - that way each picture can have its own full page, with the verso used for... Well, anything really. Comments by the photographer, credits for the shot, sponsored advertisements from random SL stores and Viagra sellers who want to contribute monetarily to the distribution of the magazine in exchange for exposure of their brand and services (winces). Whatever people stuff into magazines these days.

I truly love this idea! I thought of something similar to this awhile back but never got anything going. I would love to house the “home office” of this on my sim if we decide to do it. Everyone would have access to it, it’s a public sim anyway. Kinda like a meeting place if needed to discuss our next theme, etc.

sooo @Orwar get this going and start a new thread with our first theme! Also, we need a name for the magazine.

Am am I getting ahead of myself? I always do that...

Well, there's been some talk of superheroes/villains already, so I suppose that'll be our April thing. I haven't done any SL magazine stuff since back when I had a periodical for an RP sim, which I put into note cards. But aye, I'll start a new thread where we can expand on the idea and eventually start posting the photos!

Hmmm - did I miss the bunny hop?   Be away for a few days & come back to busy, busy!  😉   I had to go find an outfit - will have to do the same for the superhero/villain but have limited budget so sometimes will just enjoy all your wonderful snapshots!  😊   (and use the clothes I have for this thread)

I love ❤️  💕🐰 that everyone is enjoying the bunny poster!!!! It’s fun putting together...

It looks like I have a few more additions to make ... Coby, Orwar & Gluehwuermchen. I’ll add today!

I love the superhero idea. So we can see what starts to get posted... and l’ll play around with that if you guys want.

Orwar and Zennessa;  I’m not really following you on the magazine/blog thing, but it sounds exciting! Just let me know how I can help 🙂.

You all are amazing... seriously, I look forward everyday to what new beautiful posts are going to dazzle my eyeballs, expand my imagination and blow my mind 🤯

I agree... we should throw out a theme and give everyone a few weeks to pull together a post! I will eventually get everyone in.

Most importantly for me is a solid background (like a green screen) so it’s easier to stitch everyone together. White or black. But... if your outfit is white, please shoot against a black background... and vice-a versa.

When I wish to insert myself into a photograph, I shoot my pose against a background that's as similar in color and brightness to the destination scene as possible. If I'm wearing white and will be placed in a forest, I'll use dark green for the background. If I'm wearing white and will be placed in a snow scene, I'll use full-bright white as the background. Variegated backgrounds can be challenging. If there's no dominant color I'll just pick an appropriate level of gray for my photo backdrop. Greys appear in most foregrounds, but by using full-bright for the background, you ensure that every full background pixel is exactly the same color. This allows setting fairly small selection tolerances, minimizing any needed edge touch up work. I also sometimes adjust the scene lighting (using local lights if it's worth it) to mimic the lighting of the destination scene.

In those cases where I really want a seamless insertion, I'll drag the destination image in-world to texture my backdrop and simply pose in front of it.

SL Bunny Calendar :D Sara, this is absolutely great.

Oh that is so neat. Make a calendar and sell it on the SL marketplace.

That is absolutely the way to do it. Unfortunately we often have to deal with cutting an avatar out of one image for use in another image long after the images were taken. Then the color matching, light direction, reflected light and color, and more all become problems. Fortunately there are loads of tutorials on how to do the compositing so it looks realistic.

This is from when I was learning to change skin color. All four are from ONE image. I tweaked the color in PS and pasted the results into a new image. These were quick experiments where I didn't spend much time smoothing the brightness and color. But, they show the range is unlimited.

Here is an example of color changing. More subtle color changing is shown here.

This actually makes me truly consider finally getting a mesh head.

I took six images that I really loved for the forum's Superheroes and Archvillains photoshoot. Picked one for inclusion in this month's theme, but thought I'd make a collage of them all. I tried to capture the mania of Leto's Joker. Kind of difficult - even with a mesh head, scream animations, and the Axis HUD - but I'm happy with most of these.

You guys  - lol ! Don't know how much RL I'm going to include in this, but she is someone I met through work not that long ago and we ended up talking about gaming and such... Have not seen her here at the forums though, but we have met up in SL and she mentored me there... Goes by the name Alicia in SL...

So this is what I've learned today - getting group gifts and adding some lights.
Got the advice to pick up a Lelutka demo head and use the facelight included there, and then pickup a Belezza demo body to get some thingies included there to make it easier with the different shoe heights
