To buy, or not to buy... the hair? I'm always very hesitant when I'm about to buy a new hair.
It looks pretty nice though, maybe I will buy. 😃

You should totally buy. 😀

...but only if you tell us where you got it ;)

I stared for the longest time at your raised right foot and wondered if your boot hadn't properly "attached" yet - until I realized that was a couple of horses in the background - well, it gave me a laugh today!

Emma :)

Yes I saw that to.

Thera

The slow mounting steps
Are wide,
Worn smooth
With a million sandaled feet.

And the walls, bone white
With wash,
Sunsplashed
And brushed by evening light,

Narrow as I slog
Upwards,
Wading
Through sticky, molten air.

At last, a gate appears,
Blazing,
Blinding ...
And, predictably, locked.

Balked, I drop on to a
Step, and
Survey
The twisted stair below.

I ride a volcano,
Cling to
The sides
Of a broken caldera

Torn from the sea. It was
Pretty
Bad news
For old sea-faring Crete:

Knossos, labyrinth,
Minos, his
Monster,
A thousand black ships tumbled

Upon the olive groves.
Phaedra
Perhaps
Stood forlorn and alone

Amidst the smoking wreck:
Topless,
Broken,
The painted walls nod their

Too familiar refrain:
"Thus high,
And no
Higher, even for you."

No home here now; did she
Ponder
Escape
Across the churning sea?

Did the girl smile thoughtful,
Her mind
Turning
To that well-packaged stud

From Athens? Yeah, don't go
There. Ask
Sis what
She thinks: the guy's a dud.

Or maybe she recalls
One, no!
Two! who
Fled the doomed palace, the cracked

Inventor and his son
Flinging
Themselves
Skyward on chewing gum,

Old feathers, and a prayer?
That one
Ended
A bit of a downer.

But now the shade creeps close
And cool,
Although
The gate still burns behind,

And I rise, brushing off
The earth.
A glance
Back, and down I descend

Into shadow. There are
More ways
Than one
To fall short of the sun.
