Iscira Avindar Posted April 16, 2017 Share Posted April 16, 2017 Hello there, I have had a problem with my account and it had to be recovered. A friend of mine is using the SL viewer while I am using Firestorm. Since my account has been recovered my friend can no longer see my profile. It says it is unavailable. After doing a search online I can't see my profile either. Firestorm users can of course see my profile. Is there a solution for this that I am not aware of? My friend however can not see my profile in SL.The link you gave does show me my profile whereas a few minutes before I posted the thread it clearly said: Profile is unavailable. Whirly Fizzle Posted April 16, 2017 Share Posted April 16, 2017 After an account recovery, often the web profile will show "This name is unavailable" until the profile owner logs into my.secondlife.com. So I'm guessing you logged into my.secondlife.com this morning, which will have fixed that problem. You do have your web profile locked down so only the payment info & account age display. I can't tell if you have it locked down to friends only or everyone. If you go to https://my.secondlife.com/settings/profile , Privacy tab, you can set each part of your profile to be visible to Everyone, Secondlife, Friends or Nobody. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Whirly Fizzle Posted April 16, 2017 Share Posted April 16, 2017 (edited) Yeah, your friend should be able to see it. Get your friend to go to https://my.secondlife.com/Iscira.Avindar and make sure you are showing as a friend at the web end. If not, she should add you as a friend via your web profile. There's various bugs which have caused the web profile not to recognize a friend when the friendship is offered in the viewer.
