First, try the solutions here: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_missing_inventory

It could also be a poor internet connection.  See this link for things to investigate: http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/

If none of that helps, then:

  • If you are using a third party viewer such as Firestorm, try using the stock Linden Lab viewer.
  • If that also has problems, and you are a Premium member, you can file a support case with Linden Lab to get assistance.  If you are not Premium, you may find it worthwhile to buy a one-month Premium membership.

When asking a question like this we need to know more. Use the viewer's HELP->ABOUT... to gather the information and paste that in with your question.

The answer to your question is highly dependent on which viewer you are using. In the Linden viewer there is no RLV. In Firestorm and several other third-party viewers the likely cause of such a problem is RLV.

The basic troubleshooting step and one necessary to get help from SL Support, is check and see if the Linden viewer has the same problem. If you are using the Linden viewer, add a second viewer and try it. If both have the problem, you have pretty much eliminated the viewer and install problems as the cause.
