MiakisTheUsagi 8,210 Posted March 20 (edited) Decided to do a complete overhaul of my forest home Using a mixture of components from 3D Trees, CELTIC MYST and NOMAD I've also switched most of it from Alpha Blending to Alpha Masking so that they don't conflict with each other. Unlike RL, in SL I can at last have white seating without someone’s grubby little hands ruining it, and walls without someone’s artwork scribbled on them.

Matty Luminos 4,280 Posted March 24 Whilst waiting for the new Linden Homes to come available, I snagged one of the old ones, and I picked the Japanese theme. Following on from some of the suggestions in the SSP thread about making modifications to the interior of the home, I did the same with this one. This is how it starts; just an empty square box. So I added a dividing wall and a loft bedroom, and ended up with this. Living area facing the new dividing wall, with kitchen & dining area at the back. Bathroom, would you believe I managed to fit my massive hot-tub in here? Bedroom is in the loft

moirakathleen 5,134 Posted March 25 I've spent the last few days relocating my main residence in SL from a mainland parcel to a long double parcel along the water on the west side of Hither. I always have some feelings of trepidation when making moves like this, especially when changing to a new house as well. Overall, I'm pleased so far with how the landscaping has turned out (and I even did a little terraforming without having to call the land owner for help ). The long look back towards the house: Closer view of house, patio and greenhouse: Long look towards other end of parcel, where I have set up a little retreat/art studio (and a little teardrop trailer for when my alt comes to visit):

Maybe just forget Christmas decor on the ground, and have a Winter skybox. Heart Garden Center has some snowy palm trees that are great for a "Tropical Christmas"

Zeta Vandyke 10,414 Posted April 1 So past two weeks I have been trying something new for my home. used to do more city like urban build and decorate, but wanted to try out something more green and a beach was much needed too! So build myself a little island home. Quite happy with the result! Apologize for the amount of pics, but want to show off Starting with the little house from Apple Fall, love the detail it has. Its very small, but makes it much more cozy. So small though I had to make an outdoor bathroom. Downstairs is a small private beach And my transport to and from my island home Crossing the bridge is another small island with a ruined chapel Below the chapel is a small cave, where I definitely did not hide any naughty equipment! View of the island That's it! Might be totally different in a few weeks, but for now I like how it turned out
