Gowns for Maitreya body. Where to find?

Recommended Posts

Looking for Gowns for Maitreya mesh body. I've been searching inworld and Marketplace but haven't found quite what I'm looking for. Maybe you beautiful ladies have some ideas?

Requirements:
Either fitted mesh gown for Maitreya with additional flexi parts (mesh gowns without any flexies look a bit odd when moving)
Or plain flexi gown with Maitreya or Omega appliers
Well done without huge render cost
Preferably modifiable/copy
Must have demos

Thank you for your assistance.

Utopia started doing Omega appliers a while back, and does, I believe, have demos for some if not all.

You probably won't find very many demos for applier/flexi dresses in general, though. Fitmesh typically has demos, but applier clothing, I find, seldom does.

I'm afraid I'm not much help otherwise; I seldom wear gowns. A search for "Maitreya" on marketplace narrowed down to formal dresses returns some interesting results, though.

I really haven't seen much in the way of mesh gowns with flexi. If you can give up the flexi—there are definitely some really well made gowns out there on the MP.

Rua Modena has very interesting designs, appliers plus prims. But I could not see any demos.

She does offer inworld help and will possibly wear her gowns for you.

The render cost on another hand, is never low with flexi parts... is it? I know that flexi hairs can give a huge render cost, but I am not sure if one can male flexi prims in a way that is more efficient.

To find Maitreya with flexi, I simply typed this in search on the Marketplace:

+maitreya +flexi

and sorted for apparel, women's dresses.

Or search

+mesh +flexi

and sort it the same way. This brought up some breathtaking gowns from Phenix, not advertised for Maitreya but in standard sizes. And it is demos, so you can test the fit and also rendering cost. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Phenix-Jocey-Formal-Dress-Gown-Red/6254354

I would definitely demo that.

Thank you Marianne for the information.
About flexi prims: When looking at my old flexi hairs I have noticed that many of them have very high ARC. However there are some hairs where the ARC is very reasonable. The ARC seems to depend on how much the prims have been tortured. Curly hairs are the worst, straight hairs have a lot lower ARC. I love the hair what I have in my profile picture, straight one. Most of the hair prims go to back of the head and thus the disturbing "cuts through the body issue" is almost non existent. And I love its movement when dancing, it looks quite natural. Pretty cool one. B|

I have to agree with you there, flexi looks best while dancing. Sometimes the old things are worth keeping.

I second the Wild Orchid suggestion

I like their work but I can not find a way to get out of their IM spam group. :(
