I had this happen to me a few years ago and when I contacted paypal they told me to link the email address to the paypal account and the funds would be credited.  I was lucky that I just used the wrong email but it was still one of mine.  It took less than 5 minutes from when I linked it to when the funds were credited.

If you've used an email address that isn't yours or you can't create, you'll need to ask LL to do a recall but I doubt your chances of them actually doing it for you, so if that is the case then be prepared to wave that money goodbye.

If the email address doesn't have a link to paypal then the money will sit in limbo.  I can't remember exactly what paypal told me but I think they said that the money will sit there until the sender requests it back or the email is linked and it can be credited.  I don't remember them telling me it would be returned to sender otherwise.

This was around 3 years ago though so things may have changed
