I did notice that editing a post does not update the last changed timestamp on the thread itself  The Let Die thread is still showing the last update as 2 hrs ago.

Up above, I linked to the post that I edited and it clearly shows that I made the reply on Tue afternoon, but changed it yesterday (Thursday) morning.  However, I've gone back into that thread for various posts that I made an I do not have an edit option on old posts now.  I've checked posts that I've made in other threads and it does seem that I only get the edit option within the previous 24 hours.  My edit yesterday of that old post must have been a fluke.
