Hello I am posting for a friend of mine who is very new to SL. I hope this is posted in the right place.  I just came back from a long break and I have been trying to help him with his eyelashes but no matter what we do they stay white. We have tried different eyes, skins, shapes and nothing changed them.  If anyone could help or suggest something to try, we would really appreciate it.  Thank you!

it is a lot easier when your "friend" posts his/her questions him/herself...  we don't always eat noobs for breakfast :) it's a lot easier to communicate directly.

to make your issue more clear post a pic, and put it at flcikr or other site, put the link here so we can see ( if i'm right it's not possible to post pics on the new forums yet )

Some times we save them for lunch.

Just a thought but have you tried editing the hair base?

It would be good to know what all he is wearing.  Mesh head?  mesh or prim eyes?  Or is this a system avatar?

What Rhonda said about telling what kind of avatar he is wearing. He can click on the shirt icon and look for what he is wearing. If he is wearing a classic avatar with a skin - the avatar type you are used to, not a mesh head - then try to mask out the lashes with an alpha layer. https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/YuNi-No-Lashes-Alpha/2810879

You can read the reviews: " This is just what I was looking for. The system lashes are white, at least on my avi. And I wanted to remove them. The best part of this, You can see my eyes real well! Thanks! "

Just ask him to add this alpha layer and see if it works. Add, not wear. When he adds, he can wear 5 alpha layers the same time.
