uv maps and textures

Question

  • 0

Sculpties use two kinds of textures.  The one that actually creates the shape is the "sculpt map" or the UV map.  Rez an object and select "sculpted" as the object type.  A plywood apple will appear.  The apple is using the default sculpt map.  Drag your UV map texture to the texture box IN THE OBJECT TAB, replacing the one that's creating the apple shape.

Your object will appear, but textured in the default plywood.

Next, go to the Texture tab and apply your surface texture.
