1.  getVelocity is never called

2.  There is no 'exit' from state walking so it'll never go back to llReleaseControls()

3.  There is no timer is state walking

4.  Everything after run_time_permissions() - all the key-controls - needs to be in an event-handler, normally control() (http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Control)

As Irene said, we have our own forum for scripting.  You'll get most help and advice there.  The interface isn't as awful as this 'Answers' section either :-)
