How can I download the phoenix Viewer?

I am having trouble with my screen going white in the middle of something. I think I need to get the phoenix viewr installed.

Phoenix viewer is now known as Firestorm, at http://firestormviewer.org

The Phoenix viewer disappeared in 2012, so you can't.  Try Firestorm.

Ange and Rolig's answers might seem contradictory, but they're both right.

Once upon a time, there was a popular viewer known as Emerald.  It had lots of great features.  Unfortunately, one of the developers got a little too clever, and inserted code into the viewer that made it possible, under certain conditions, for him to discover users' real life names.  As a result, the viewer got banned from SL.

The other developers took the Emerald code, cleaned it up, and produced the Phoenix viewer...named after the Phoenix, a mythical bird that builds a nest when it is old, sets it afire and dies in its own funeral pyre and then rises reborn from the ashes.

After a while, the Phoenix viewer was rechristened "Firestorm", although the developers kept the Phoenix name in their organization, the Phoenix Firestorm Project.
