Pretty much any desktop that has a discrete graphics card will do the trick.  Either an AMD/ATI Radeon card or an Nvidia GeForce, although the GeForce cards have the reputation for working best with SL because of their superior handling of OpenGL.  Computers sold as "gaming computers" will generally have such a graphics card in them, but of course you can add a card, if you fall in love with a machine that is otherwise suitable.

Hi Amy, you have options. I assume this is solely for SL use. If you build your own desktop you can save money. There are videos on YouTube walk you through the process. On the other hand you can buy a Dell, HP, etc & here is what you need to look for:

minimum quadcore processor

at least 10 GB RAM

minimum Nvidia GTX 750 graphics card

64 bit operating system

quality power supply like EVGA, Antec, or Thermaltake

You can use a great online power supply calculator called: outer vision tells you how manys watts your pc will use & amps needed on the power supply's +12v rail too. I just days ago built myself an all new desktop so, I have this one for sale:

AMD FX-4100 quadcore processor

MSI AM3+ entry level motherboard

Hi-perf CPU cooling fan & heatsink

8GB Crucial RAM (upgrade to 16GB max)

Western Digital 250 GB SATA III hard drive

MSI Nvidia GTX 1GB DDR5 GTX 750 factory overclocked graphics card

EVGA 430 watt power supply

Windows 10 Home x64 with disk included along with a valid product key

APEX midtower case black & silver

92mm rear case fan

SATA Sony DVD-CD ROM

USB mouse & USB keyboard

What I am asking might shock you! Anyone interested message me via this Forum.
