Using any of the Advanced or Develop menus is risky, so you should leave them alone unless you know what you are doing. Fortunately, though, the solution to a problem like yours is fairly simple. You will need to delete all traces of the viewer from your computer -- including all hidden files, where those settings are stored -- and install a new copy.
