Any English language schools in SL?

I am working with friends in supplying teaching aids for English language students in Second Life. We have already supplied aids for the ESL organisation but does anyone know of any other language schools we might approach?

Yes. Use In-World Search .. the All tab .. and search for "Teleporter". The second item returned is a Language School.

(And any belief that I might be grumping about anything related to Search is purely intentional)

Check 'Perfect Paradise' (SIM & Group).  I believe they were doing English language classes.

Actually, that's not a bad comment to make because it IS important for a learner of English to be aware of which variety they want to learn! Although there is a huge amount of commonality in the Englishes of the world, a learner should try to focus on just one of them before getting bogged down by pointless and endless discussion about the merits of "nappies" and "diapers," or whether "amongst" and "whilst" should be "among" and "while."

Keep an eye open for the 2011 "SLanguages Conference," an annual event that brings together lots of folks involved in language teaching in SL. You can take a look at the content of previous conferences at http://www.slanguages.net

Have you tried searching for language schools? There are quite a few "schools." I won't list them here beause I cannot vouch for their credibility.

I CAN say the best way to find a school is to ask people inworld. I suggest going to free learning sims like Cypris Chat http://cyprischat.org or Virtlantis and talking with people in those groups. They can tell you which schools are good and which schools to avoid.
