You mean your avatar?  You don't.  You have to do any editing of your appearance in world, using the tools in your viewer.  Depending on the type of avatar you have, you may just be able to use the basic Appearance editor that you get by right-clicking on your avatar.  If you have a mesh avatar, however, chances are good that you will not be able to edit it at all, except by adding attachments or using an applier to add texture layers.

Forget everything you know about MMORPG games.  This isn't one.  Everything you see is user created and downloaded on the fly.  No assets reside on your computer.  If you want to edit your looks you must be in world where data that can change your looks exists.
