Is LL doing voice maintance because this bad voice quality is horrible

LL does never voice maintenance, it's not them providing it,

You can see normal and emergency maintenace at the gridstatus and main account page.

 

If you use search you will find a lot of complaints about voice... thats been borky since start.

I don't use voice myself, but I have it enabled and listen to others using it.  Voice quality is very good...unless the person does not have a decent microphone setup at their computer, or has set the mic volume way too high.  Laptop computers do a better job with voice than desktops, their microphones, speakers, and noise cancellation are designed for it.  With a desktop, you're better off with a headset that has a boom microphone.  Don't use those cheap plastic desktop mics.

Second life voice is vivox .

Its been acting up last couple of days .... lots of breaking up sounds and frequent loss of voice all together.
