You may select an avatar from the Avatar Picker, which you access by clicking on the Avatar button on the task bar in your viewer.  I'm not sure what you mean by "no close"?  What's open?

If you want to provide extra information or need to clarify your question, click on the Options link in the upper right corner of your question and select EDIT. Please do not start a new thread. Doing that makes it hard for us to see what other people have already suggested, and it pushes other residents' questions off the page.

I think he means "no clothes".

Truman, you probably have a shaky internet connection.

Don't use wifi, use an ethernet cable.  Don't use satellite (3G or 4G) internet, use DSL or FIOS.  Try rebooting your router.
