Unable to Update Profile Picture

Ive been trying for several days to upload a new picture to my profile through the SL viewer and the SL website, neither have worked.

Im attempting files under 5mb and in PNG format like its requested, but even though Ive tried this different times now, the image won't change or display on my profile correctly, other users can't see it and neither can I through the chat interface for example.

Tried a different connection and this hasn't resolved the issue either, any thoughts on what this could be?

Try uploading your profile image again.

This bug was fixed a few hours ago.  I tested it & it seems to be working ok now. You will need to reupload the profile image.

I will try it again but Ive already done this at least 8 times total since 2 days ago.

I just tried it, not in world at present but... my feed now contains an '...updated their profile picture' entry, and the pic shows by all the feed entries, so it looks like its working again.

My feed says mine updated hours ago on my profile and some people can see it when they open it, however, for chat windows the picture hasn't updated at all, it remains with the default grey display.

That last update you did 12 mins ago seems to have worked.  I see your profile image has updated correctly everywhere.

It will take a few hours to update the image in web search results for your name. I think the profile images in web search only update when the people API updates which I believe is every 12 hours.

It seems to be working back again now, finally, it was a bit frustrating after so many attempts over several days.
