Costigan Posted January 15, 2017 Share Posted January 15, 2017 PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONThe Youth Program Director is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating programs for youth in the Cedar Creek community.SCOPEThe Youth Program Director reports to the Estate Managers and is responsible for administering and delivering programs for youth in the community. The Youth Program Director will consult with youth and organizations that represent youth to determine their needs and develop programs in response to those needs.RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Research and develop programs for youthAssess the program requirements of youth in the communityCommunicate with youth to determine their needs and interestsCommunicate with organziations that represent youth to determine needs and interests of youthResearch funding and prepare funding proposalsEnsure a variety of sport, recreation, cultural and academic programs are planned and implementdEnsure program information is available Develop youth organizationsEncourage existing organizations to include youthEvaluate the effectiveness of programsIdentify areas where new programs are needed2. Plan and implement activties for youthSchedule activities, facilities, staff and volunteers as requiredSupervise and lead activities for youthRecruit, train and oversee staff and volunteersEncourage local youth to participateMonitor the use of equipment and facilities3. Promote youth programsEnsure that youth and youth organizations are aware of available activitesCoordinate a community relations campaign to promote youth programsArrange for advertising of youth programsMaintain contacts with local and outside organizations for youth4. Administer youth programsPrepare a plan for youth activitesPrepare the youth program budgetPrepare finacial and program reportsRecord information on and prepare reports concerning youth programs, costs, numbers of particpants and equipment and facility useProvide bi-monthly and quarterly reports about youth programs and opportunitiesEnsure that all programs and activites are implemented to meet or exceed comparable communities5.
