How do i find out which linden houses are available at this time

I have been trying since yesterday to get the outlook house and it keep giving me an error. This seem to have got into the wrong section. I just want to get a house.

go to the linden home section at your account page and follow the steps, it will show exactly what ones are available

You find out by requesting a house.  If the style you want it temporarily unavaliable, you will get a message to that effect.  Shopping for a Linden Home is sort of like looking for a new home in RL.  Some styles are more popular than others, so there may be fewer available on the day you go looking.  So, you either wait or you choose a different style.  Linden Homes are designed as "starter homes", so they tend to change ownership frequently as new residents move up to larger homes or to live near their new friends. 

When you choose a place to live, you are always free to move later.  It's not a big deal like it is in RL. You just pick up your stuff and Take it back to your inventory.  If you are in a Linden Home, you can open World >> About Land >> General, click the Abandon Land button, and request a new Linden Home.  You can do that up to 5 times a day if you wish.
