We can't recommend specific merchants or products here, but if you open Search and type "Freebie" as your search term, you'll find a good list of freebie shops in world.  Some of the best ones, in SL for a long time, are near the top of the list.  You can also get some suggestions by typing "freebie" as a search term in Marketplace.

I'm sorry that happened, Vanity!  I'm just speculating here, but maybe LL felt that by posting that link in so many places, you were guilty of trying to steer traffic to your blog.  They do have a policy about not using SL to advertise your outside-of-SL products.

Would not have thought they'd apply that in this case though.  Your resource is an excellent one for all residents.
