0 Peewee Musytari
He "could" refund it but the chances are it is policy not to & to be fair to him it was your choice when you moved. The same would happen in RL. I do object when people get evicted and don`t get a refund, but in your case you had the right to stay the extra 2 weeks. 0 Ayumi Banufong
No you're right, that makes sense. My biggest issue is we left because nothing was being done about the neighbors despite the fact that we, and another resident complained, and we found a better deal elsewhere that we didn't want to miss out on. 0 Peewee Musytari
I would have moved too...You can always go back and have a party on the land, its still technically yours for 2 more weeks...Unless this happens: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Land/I-paid-28K-for-sim-rental-and-owner-re-rented-keeping-my-L-s/qaq-p/800551
0 Ayumi Banufong
I also double checked to be sure.. and he has made no rental policy available..
0 PeterCanessa Oh
Two questions: Did you AR (Abuse Report) the money sploders? Traffic-abuse is a breach of the TOS (Terms Of Service). Secondly, did the neighbouring land also belong to your landlord? If not, it's possible there wasn't anything he could do.
0 Peewee Musytari
You mentioned a rental box, if he uses HippoRent, they usually say in the chat info when you click them whether its set for refunds or not & it should give you a NC which will either have his rental agreement on it or the default info that comes with the box if he didn`t bother to fill it in. 0 Ayumi Banufong
Yeah, the problem with that is the notecard has no policy in it just the land lords contact info.
0 Peewee Musytari
So techincally it wasn`t a rental "agreement" since he didn`t tell you what you were agreeing to, you can try arguing logic with him, but at the end of the day if he doesn`t want to give you a refund nothing is going to force him to & he knows that & if you annoy him he`ll likely just mute you. Depends how much you want to try and talk him round
0 Ayumi Banufong
No we did not send an abuse report on it, we took pictures and sent it to the land lord because he is the sim owner, and the owner of several other sims. He said that because it was "not in excess" there was nothing he would do. He said he had spoken to them about making it less often during the day. But after a certain point during the conversation he will just stop answering you.
0 Ayumi Banufong
Yeah, it doesn't do much, no matter how polite you are he just stops bothering to answer you after a while. We went ahead and sent an AR.
0 PeterCanessa Oh
Ahh right. Yes, if he's the sim owner then he is free to do whatever he wants unfortunately. That's LL's rules and LL recognises ONLY the person paying for the sim, the rest of us just have no rights except within RL law.
0 Ayumi Banufong
I was afraid of that. That's incredibly frustrating.
0 Ayumi Banufong
Ah - I forgot - how long does it usually take for LL to respond to an AR? Or will they even bother?
0 Peewee Musytari
They reply very quickly if they are going to tell you that you have no case, so I guess the longer the better in that respect.
