I'm rather surprised that they let you do that.  The Land Ops crew are pretty sticky about never re-using a region name. It's hard on their filing system (which is probably why it's getting confused now).  The only way you are probably going to get this sorted out is to contact the Concierge service with a support case.

You can change a Homestead to a Full region, and vice versa.  You can change the location of regions.  But I don't think you can actually swap names.
