Why am i not able to purchase the same amount of $L's as i was before?

I really don;t know, but I am going to guess that it's because you have only recently bought L$ for the first time.  Even though you have been in SL for a year, the LindeX considers you a newbie until you have made your first L$ purchase.  Doing that starts the clock on your credit limit.  Here's the table to show you what the limits look like >>>



 So, if your clock started less than a week ago, the most you can buy is $100 worth of L$. After a week, your limit jumps to $300/month.
