The most comprehensive list of libraries and library-related venues in SL is at https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14zRamPCSafM7u6pvermvC2gXiv-CEOFM_vhxCAs4iGw/edit?hl=en_US#gid=0 , which is maintained by the Community Virtual Library (CVL).  You may want to visit CVL yourself at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bradley%20University/97/90/28 .  It is the oldest continuously operating library in SL and home to several groups of librarians and library friends, a place where you are welcome as a professional librarian or -- as I am -- a fan of libraries. 

You may want to join one of those groups yourself, or at least attend social and professional events.  The Community Virtual Library has two ALA groups: The ACRL Virtual World Interest Group and the ALA Virtual Communities in Libraries Member Initiative Group. Both groups are active in providing programs for librarians, educators, and anyone interested in virtual worlds for high quality resources and connecting communities.

In fact, if you are free this weekend you might be interested in attending a special gathering. The American Library Association liaison, Tina Coleman (Kay Tairov in SL), would like to meet with the Community Virtual Library staff, volunteers, librarians, and friends of libraries to discuss ways to market and advocate for virtual world librarianship. Any input and suggestions for collaborating and recruiting new librarians will be greatly appreciated.
