Are you sure you brought them directly? Many people who come here with this problem, acciendtly made a limit buy order, not knowing what that means. If you did place a limit buy order, it can take a while or forever to get your lindens, as you are only buying them for a very certain exchange rate and need someone, who at the same time wants to sell their L$ for that rate.
