The Linden Lab viewer does not support RLV.

You will have to use a third party viewer that does support it.

Can you explain what that problem is there?

You can't.    RLV is not available on the official viewer.

However, if you want to use RLV you are certainly not restricted to Firestorm.    Most third party viewers offer RLV.    You might want to try Marine Kellly's Restrained Love Viewer ( the reference viewer for RLV) or Kttty Barnett's and Trinity DejaVu's Catznip , the reference viewer for RLVa  (the flavour of RLV that Firestorm uses).    The current version of Catznip is rather old but there's a new version in beta testing at the moment).

Both Marine's viewer and Catznip are very like the Official viewer in look and feel, with RLV plus some useful third-party-viewer additions.

If they don't suit, there are plenty of other options.

i hate bumping long dead posts but if anyone knows a good RLV viewer that works on a computer with minimal graphics it would be greatly appreciated firestorm 32bit doesnt even work on my system as my graphics card blew up and now im using onboard graphics

I've seen people mention Singularity viewer for systems with sub par graphics.
