Question

First off, Hi Everyone, ok my question is this, if you place an order for linden on the exchange for 273 and it says 2 days, you place it on the 20th of Oct, by the 27th of oct, you close it, you than place another other at 271 and it says 2 days, you go back it says 270 and it will be 10 minutes, but your still not getting your lindens. How does that work????? I see all these great answer but when you place an order and don't get it for 2 days and place another other for same rate, but less money and get it, there is something wrong.

ignore that estimated time, they should remove it.

It's all about the rate you want.

Don't put it out of range of the current one or you even can wait  days, weeks or even till all eternity before it will fill.

Limit buy is not just a simple place and it's done, you have to wait till another resident comes and want to sell you at that rate.

Current is 271 stay at that or at least  max -1 / +1 if you want to buy fast

nobody will give you 273 if they can get their dollar for 271

If you want it instantly, never do a limit buy, but  market buy

The Lindex is very much a RL currency exchange. So, everything is dependent on what people do, not a computer.

Further down the page is a list of pending orders. At the top of the Buy column is the amout and price of Buy orders waiting on a seller. The left column has seller offers waiting for a buyer, someone to take their sell offer. For an instant exchange use the seller price.

The Lindex "Instant" uses recent performance to predict a price that is likely to result in a transaction in the next couple of minutes.

If you want a good price quickly, look at the Buy offers. If you pick the price at the top of the cloumn, you will be waiting along with all the people making Buy offers at that price. It is first come first served. If you are in a hurry, you can move to the front of the line by offerring L$1 more* than the current best buy offier. As a buyer you are setting the cost of a US$1. Fewer L$ means a lower price for the L$ Seller/US$ Buyer.

*Note: more and less depend on how you look at the transaction. Whether the number needs to be smaller or larger to be more or less also depends on how you look at it.
