Short answer: No, there is no option to change your Second Life username. Its the only thing that makes you easily recognizeable for others.

 

But what "SL Facebook" are you talking about? Second Life and Facebook have nothing to do with each other and Facebook does not want you to create a profile for something that is not a real human being. They also do not want people to use made-up fantasy names. By creating a facebook profile for your Second Life avatar, you are violating their ToS. And if the name of your avatar is not easy to be mistaken for a real name...well, its easy for the algorythem to find your account (if it wasn't reported by someone, anyway).

Maybe he/she could create a Facebook page instead of a profile. Celebrities do that and fictional characters have pages.

can't imagine a sl account will be seen as a celebrity... and most fictional accounts get deleted as soon they find it.

You can , as non vip, only create a account using your own name, and use a nickname for the actual page

Yes, they would need to create the page under their authentic account, but can name it whatever they want I believe.
