How many is register avatars as scripted agents in Second Life?

There's no way to be more accurate than this, Linden Lab do not release stats.

Assume most bots are logged on more or less constantly and there are usually between 25,000 and 50,000 accounts logged on at any given time. So about 10,000 bots all in all then. Now, if five percent of the bots are registered, that'll give 500 official scripted agents.

No, forget it. We don't know the bots to alts to actual people ratio in SL, we don't know the average time a bot is logged on and we don't know how large percentage of the bots are legally registered as such. Not even LL knows any of that, it's all speculation.

LL does know how many registered scripted agents there are of course and they could tell us if they wanted to, but the figure wouldn't really mean anything.
