If you abandoned your Linden Homes five times, it has locked you out (just for a day) from selecting another one.  Five homes per day is your limit.

The reason most people go through this many homes so quickly is because they are trying to get a particular home in a particular location.  Since you can only choose the type of home, not the specific address, this is like playing the lottery!

If you've been through five Linden Homes and haven't found one you like, maybe the solution isn't to keep playing the lottery, but to buy a 512 square meter parcel on the Mainland and build your own custom home, or buy one already built and put it on your land.
