HI, login hours are tracked because they are tied to the Lithium ranking and data mining features, that is the only justification there really could be for that annoyance. I hope they do not try to pass it off as a security measure, the Linden accounts that would be most juicy stay logged in idle for hours on end. IT should not be hard to automate past the anoyance, the trick is to remember to capture a page with that message when it happens :P

no need to capture that page.... simply check whether or not it says guest, and if it does, redirect to the url I posted above, along with the current page address as the referrer.....

then you only have to worry about the daily timeout that forces a new password.

(and yes the historical claim has been account security)

heh, when has it EVER been different? the goal has always been the same, just the tools have gotten better.

fortunately, subtlety is suspicious so people are finally catching on

"Guest" in the banner does not yield the flexibility I want, but it could be an interesting approach for others.

you're looking for "auto-relog" rather than "auto-login".... I can respect that...

I should timeout sometime later today, so when I do I'll capture the session expired box for you...

slightly OT: I wish LL would try to make money on things we want, rather than things we don't. Such as no long waits for bandwidth. CEO Linden should sell one of his four yachts and buy some servers.
