Personalizing a sailboat (Bandit 50)....putting a name on her transom and bow

Please bear with me.....but I would love to learn how to put a name on my Sailboat...a Bandit 50...I have tried without success to figure out the process.  So either I am missing the entire process or I just don't have a clue ( probably a little of each!!)  If anyone can tell me or show me the best way to put a name onto my boat it would be greatly appreciated!!

1. In the Bandit 50 folder will be a set of textures. You need to open up the hull (or sail, or anything else you want to put the name on) and then press [save] at the bottom - to save that to your hard disk.

2. Use Photoshop or Gimp put your name on the hull texture and save as a TGA, preferably without alpha

3. Upload the new hull texture

4. Right click the new hull picture and choose the Copy UUID option, whatever it is in your viewer.

5, Stand next to the boat and say

texture hull

then press Ctrl-V to paste the clipboard you copy in step 4

so your line will look like 

texture hull a0da3e8c-6ff8-11e6-8b77-86f30ca893d3

 

If you don't know photoshop/gimp you will need to find a friend to help or hire someone

I have been messing around with this for a while. I have one question though. When shrinking the text to the hull the text becomes very pixelated when you apply the texture to the boat, is there a way around this?
