Martine1988
No it is not. Throw it away if possible, just delete it.
Amethyst Jetaime
It's a scam. If you grant access it will steal all your $L's! File an abuse report against the person who gave it to you.
Whirly Fizzle
That account is banned already. Never, EVER accept a "gift card" passed to you from a total stranger, especially an account with "gift" as part of it's user name, They are all debit permission scams. If you do accidently wear or rez the gift card object, don't panic, just DO NOT ever click Yes when that object requests debit permissions. Clicking yes will give the scammer the ability to take all your L$ from your account with no way to revoke it. Just delete the gift card and empty your trash. When you get passed one of these "gift cards", file an abuse report straight away against the account that passed it to you, use the "Fraud" category. Include a screenshot showing that account passing the the gift card. LL are pretty fast at shutting down these gift card scammer accounts. Usually they don't last more then a couple of hours, if that.
Trinity Yazimoto
Regular giftcards (honnest ones) NEVER ask for debit permission. Well i should say "most of them". So if a gift card is asking you for debit permission, make some investigations about who gave it to you and if you find no answer, just delete it. Alwin Alcott
Think the others already pointed enough on non accepting giftcards... a bit broader....just do not accept anything from people you don't know!
