I keep losing inventory items when I try to rez them where I don't have permission

best way to prevent isn't too difficult.....how about don't rezz in no rezz zones?....

If you accidently do, mostly the item will be back after relogging.

 

Most newer boxed items you don't have to rezz these days, just wear and click / or just wear, is often enough to transfer it to your inventory.

More than likely they are in your "Lost & Found" folder and not truly missing. It sometimes takes a relog or two to see them in there. A good rule of thumb is not to rezz anything where you shouldn't
