Vera,

I tried to visit Lost Sea, but apparently you have it set to keep out visitors.

If you bought it from Linden Lab, you can cancel your ownership...here's what LL says:

"If you would like to terminate ownership of an estate without transferring it, please submit a support case of the type Land & Region > Region Cancellation Request, with all the relevant fields completed."

Note:  You will NOT get a refund on any money you've spent.

You may also try to sell it to someone else.  There is a forum where you can advertise your region for sale: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/Regions-for-Sale-Full-Private/bd-p/RegionsforSaleFullRegions

Be sure to follow the proper procedure for selling your region.  See this page: https://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Managing-Private-Regions/ta-p/700115#Section_.3

It is possible that you didn't actually BUY the region, if you did not go through the process described in that last link.  Many private estate owners "sell" parcels on their estates, up to and including the size of an entire region.  Look in About Land, in the Covenant tab.  Who is the ESTATE OWNER?  If it's not you, you don't actually own the region.  You're leasing it from the Estate Owner.  Another clue to this is if you are paying for your region in $L, not paying Linden Lab in $USD.  In this case, contact the estate owner and see if they are willing to give you a partial refund for unused time.  They do not HAVE to do this, you may very well be out the full month's rent.
