Can't log in past "Requesting region capabilities" in log in process?

I have tried reinstalling SL viewer, going to places other than my home and previous location and still nothing. It is now 8.35am SL time. I can't see any outage reports, or shut downs. Does anyone else have an issue???

That particular message means that you have an unreliable Internet connection.  You are not completing login, so you are not getting access to key databases (inventory, friends lists, group lists, etc) that are your "capabilities".  Bandwidth is almost certainly not a problem, but stability is.  Get off wireless (not recommended or supported by Linden Lab anyway), and reboot both your router and your modem.  That will probebly cure your problem.  If not, see Natales's blog for more advanced suggestions >>> http://blog.nalates.net/2011/10/26/troubleshoot-your-sl-connection/
